I want encourage you to stay with the keto diet.  I have worked cardiology for 35 years as a NP and I myself have dieted all my life.  Recently I have been following labs on pts on keto.  Cholesterol LDL improves and so does glucose to the point they can come off medications.  I think in another 10 years AHA will not be promoting low fat diet but low carbohydrate....
