I commit to eating out only once a month, and making meals from scratch at home. No frozen entrees or supplements; rather I will create meals with fruit and vegetables, include grains like quinoa or bread, and meat including fish on occasion. I hope to embark on this with my fiancé so we can continue to encourage each other to live healthy lives.

I am commiting to not eat processed sugar for the rest of October. October is always a hard month for me to stay away from sweets because they are everywhere right now, but I don't need the extra calories and I definately don't need something that doesn't add any nutritional value to my body.

at age 50 i made the commitment to change my lifestyle! first order of business was to quit smoking! that was one year ago. next on my list was to get physically active. that was five months ago and going great. this year my goal is to eat healthier and lose weight.
