I am committed to making healthy choices about the foods and drinks that I eat/drink.

As a night shift nurse, I often stop and grab breakfast from the drive through on my hour commute home every morning just to help keep me awake in the car.  I vow to pack healthier snacks and alternative breakfast so that I stop grabbin greasy fast food breakfas sandwiches and burritos!

I will continue Mediterranean diet, striving for increasing fruit and vegetable servings to from 4 to 5-6/day, and grain serving from 2-3 to 5 serving per day.

I have found an app called "Mealime" that provides health menus, generated shopping list and cooking instructions.  My goal is to use this app to develop a weekly meal plan. So far so good.

I will eat 2 vegetables per day to help me with my goal to meet the frutis/vegetables recommended per day, and to lose the 9 pounds I need to in order to meet the recommended weight for my height.  Hopefully more veggies will help me curb eating less desirable foods!!
