I constantly fall asleep on the couch! I am committed to following a better bedtime routine including a reasonable bedtime which includes going to sleep in bed!

I will go to bed earlier and get at least 7 hours of sleep

I often wake up tired, fatigued, and wanting to go back to sleep.  I have been struggling with depression for years and have been on medication for the last 2 years.  I plan on talking with my doctor and therapist about the medication.  I hope to experience more restful sleep at night and less naps during the day.

I love weekend naps!  I have found this helpful to my daily sleep goals of 9 hours/night.

I have joined a gym and utilize a personal trainer twice a week. This has helped me with my strength training goal.  I like to run 6-9 miles per week.  The Wisconsin weather has interfered with this so  i use Jillian workout DVDs.  My goals is to use the gym for additional cardio and strength training.

In the last month I have worked hard on improving my diet and increasing my exercise; however, my sleep level is still lacking. There are not enough hours in the day, and my brain doesn't shut off when needed due to one of my strengths being an "achiever". Diet, exercise, and sleep tie together nicely though. I will make an effort to increase my week night sleep by going to bed earlier so I can get 6 to 6.5 hours sleep.  I will continue to get extra sleep on the weekends to make up for lost sleep during the week.
