I will try to get at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep every day to stay happy and healthy.

As a working mom, I don't always make time for myself since I am so busy caring for everyone else. My committment is to schedule in 2 hours a week for "me" time.

I will refrain from drinking any alcohol.

After 24 years in this profession, I have come to the point of valuing more than ever the importance of sharing quality time with my family. I have made sacrifices for my job for many years as have many other excellent nurses I've have been blessed to serve alongside. Now it is time to create an optimal balance between work and home life.

To allow myself to learn and take steps to stop being so hard on myself.

I don't really do annual resolutions, but focusing on myself is an ongoing goal I have. This includes using my vacation time, taking time to meditate, having fun, being active, eating well, and saying "no" when I need to.

I will go on 1 trip a month to reach my goal of traveling the world. Trips can be alone or with people to anywhere that I haven't been or want to go back to either within the US and to other countries. 19 more states to visit at this time.

I plan to take better care of myself this year. Therefore, I will be more able to take care of others.

My plans is to work on myself with doing more cardio exercise at least 5 times a week, continue lifting weights to prevent osteoporosis, take my calcium pills and eat or drink calcium rich foods.  Watch my food portions and what I am eating.  Take my food to work and fruits/vegetables.

I continue to resolve to take time to breathe deeply.   When I do this, it slows me down, and helps me to become more present for the task at hand.  When I am more present, I am more thoughtful, more focused and much more true to ME!  When I am truest to me, I am happiest- and my patients and my colleagues can feel and share in that healing energy.

I RESOLVE TO IMPROVE MY EATING HABITS AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY TO REACH MY GOAL OF 40LBS WEIGHT LOSS BY MY WEDDING ON JUNE 24TH AND TO CONTINUE AFTER THAT UNTIL I BECOME A HEALTY WEIGHT AND HAVE A HEALTY LIFESTYLE TO MAINTAIN IT.
