Nursing is a high stress profession. There are many tools that can be used to calm yourself, but what can you do that gives you fast results and is long-lasting? EFT, also known as Tapping. EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques and that is exactly what it does - frees you from the emotions that are causing stress and other wellness problems. EFT ...
I am committing to put time aside for me! Time for me to step away for a minute and do something that I love or something relaxing. I have noticed that I do not do this as often as I should.
I'm setting aside a little time each week to do an activity just for me, whether it is reading a book, creating a craft, spending time with friends, or another enjoyable activity that doesn't involve work or being available to others.
After taking months off, I decided it was time to get back into using the meditation "Calm" app. I'm just 3 days in and I can already tell a difference. I start my fast past days with more of a level head and don't feel as stressed throughout the day. This is great encouragement to continue the trend of morning meditation even on the weekends :-)

I am committed to keeping a gratitude journal daily.
Dancing makes me happy, but I have been struggling to find ways to dance when I can't take classes in person. I'm committing to dancing for 15 minutes a day, 3 days a week, for the next 3 weeks.
I have been writing down 5 things I'm thankful for daily. This helps me to stay more positive.
One area I would like to focus on the most is my physical fitness. Being more active while I am off work or in between school homework is important to me but it becomes a "back burner " when I am more focusing on work or school. My SMART goal is as follows; I will walk briskly for 30 minutes 3 times per week. I will track my progress by making a chart for each ...
I commit to enhance my quality of life by engaging in more physical activity, eating healthier by reducing portions, making it a habit to take care of myself and have a happy positive attitude, and putting self-care as a priority!
Self-care is my passion! I am so glad I found this! We can't take care of others if we can't take care of ourselves first!! My mission is to spread the importance of self-care for those that serve the public, nurses, police, teachers, etc. I thought I was the only one seeing this essential need in the workplace. Burnout is all too real but does not have to be! I ...
