My SMART goal for improving my physical fitness is I will begin by swimming laps for 30 minutes at the gym 1 time a week and walk for 30 minutes 1 time a week for a month, then increase to twice weekly for each. I can keep a log and create a checklist to monitor my progress and activity. This goal is within my capabilities and not too far out of reach. I already have a gym membership. Going to the gym once/twice a week and trying to walk once/twice is not unrealistic or asking too much of me. I am able to find the time on my days off when my daughter is in school. Starting on the lower end for a month, then gradually increasing.
