Do A 5-minute Workout

As a nurse, you’re busy. You’re taking care of others all day, but that doesn’t mean you’re meeting the Department of Health and Human Services’ recommendation to strength train at least two times a week.

Every minute counts. One study from the University of Utah found that small bursts of exercise throughout the day add up to big health benefits. Another study found that breaking up workouts into small chunks helped with appetite control.

For today’s challenge, try a quick, full-body, at-home workout. Choose the time of day that works best for you. No fancy equipment needed — you can do these exercises using your own bodyweight.
