Give Yourself Grace
Published
Practice self-compassion to be kinder to yourself. You can do this! Try an option below:
- Be more mindful. Recognize when you’re being hard on yourself. Pause, take a few deep breaths, and exhale out all those negative thoughts.
- Treat yourself like you would a good friend, with understanding and compassion.
- Practice saying “no” more often without guilt.
- Comfort yourself with kind thoughts and words.
- Turn to what comforts you like a walk outdoors or time with your dog. Do something restorative for your mind, body, and spirit.
- Repeat this process as needed.
- Model this process to others.
