Building a Consistent Exercise Routine

Published

I commit to exercising for at least 30 minutes three times each week. On my days off, I will go for a walk or bike ride, and on workdays I will complete a short strength workout or stretching session. My goal is to build a routine that I can realistically maintain while balancing nursing school and my work schedule.

As a nursing student working in the emergency department, I spend a lot of time on my feet, but I know that isn't the same as regular exercise. I want to improve my overall health by making physical activity a consistent part of my routine instead of something I only do when I have extra time. My commitment is to complete at least 30 minutes of intentional exercise three days each week. This may include walking, biking, bodyweight exercises, or strength training depending on my schedule. I will track my workouts on my phone and treat them like any other important appointment. My goal is to improve my energy level, reduce stress, and build healthy habits that will benefit both my personal well-being and my future nursing career.
