IntNSA is a professional organization for nurses committed to the prevention, intervention, treatment, and management of addictive disorders including alcohol and other drug dependencies, nicotine dependencies, eating disorders, dual and multiple diagnosis, and process addictions such as gambling.

Kudos to Dr. Stephen Strobbe, President of IntNSA, and Suzanne Kinkle, 2017 Conference Chair, for incorporating Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation™ Grand Challenge (HNHN) Breaks (15 minutes/day) during the 41st Annual Educational Conference held in Orlando, Florida October 18-21, 2017.

For many years IntNSA has offered a one hour guided walk (usually from 5:30am to 6:30am) each day of the conference along with evening mutual support groups and in 2017, added the HNHN breaks mid-afternoon. These 15 minute breaks were led by Becky Eisenhut and consisted of deep breathing and relaxation exercises along with simple guided yoga poses that attendees could incorporate into their daily activities. Becky is a long-time member of IntNSA, has served on the Board, and is a conference planning committee member.

IntNSA leadership plans to offer HNHN activities once again at the 2018 conference which is scheduled for October 3-6, in Denver Colorado. Visit the IntNSA website for more information.
