NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center (NYP-WC) nurses Elizabeth Laporte, MPS, BSN, RN, NE-BC, Staffing Coordinator and Shirley Ames, MS, RN, nurse administrator, (left photo) served as volunteers at the 2018 New York City marathon. Elizabeth and Shirley served as marathon marshals. They provided crowd and runner control during the event and ensured that everyone was safe.NYP-WC Magnet Champions hosted a Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation information booth and sign-up at our recent Engagement Expo. The Engagement Expo was sponsored by our R3 (Retention, Recruitment and Recognition) council as an opportunity to learn about campus committees and initiatives.
