The Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation™ (HNHN) Grand Challenge features monthly health challenges to engage nurses and others, including a ten day Celebrate Civility challenge which will begin on December 9, 2019.
ANA will randomly select a participant who has joined both the American Nurses Association as a member and enrolled in the HNHN text to join option (text healthynurse to 52-886) OR who has joined the challenge via HNHN Connect to receive one $200.000 restaurant gift card.
Contest Period: Contest Period: This member-only giveaway contest (“Contest”) will take place in conjunction with the Celebrate Civility challenge which runs from December 9-20, 2019.
Eligibility: This is available to all participants of HNHN who are enrolled in the text to join option who are also ANA members. You must be residing in the United States and be at least 18 years of age or older (19 in AL/NE) at the time of entry. Directors, officers, employees, contractors, and/or agents of the American Nurses Association and/or any of its subsidiaries are not eligible to participate.
To Enter: All ANA members who join HNHN and the 2019 Celebrate Civility Challenge are automatically entered. ANA members that use the text to join option (text healthynurse to 52-886) are also entered. To opt out of the Contest, contact healthynurse@ana.org.

Each participant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of ANA, which are final and binding in all matters related to giveaway. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. No exceptions or substitutes will be made.
Prize: One $200.000 restaurant gift card. Limit one prize per participant. Odds of winning will depend on the number of entries. Upon entry into the Contest, Winners are required to comply with any and all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. All federal, state and local taxes, and any other costs not specifically provided for in these Official Rules are solely the winner’s responsibility. Prizes are not assignable.
As a condition of receiving the prize, winners may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility and release form to be returned to ANA within ten (10) business days of notification. Failure to timely sign and return this affidavit and release may result in the applicable winner’s disqualification, forfeiture of all interest in prizes, and the drawing of a substitute winner. Prizes not won and claimed by an eligible winner in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of the ANA.
Rights granted to ANA: Except where prohibited, by entering the Contest you irrevocably agree that ANA and their affiliates and their respective assigns, agents and licensees (collectively, the “ANA Parties”) may use your name, likeness, voice, photograph and any statements regarding your participation in Contest (collectively, “Your Likeness”) throughout the world, in perpetuity, in any media, without limitation or compensation to you. By entering the Contest, you permanently waive all intellectual property rights, privacy/publicity rights and other legal or moral rights that might preclude the ANA Parties’ use of Your Likeness, and you agree not to sue or assert any claim against the ANA Parties (or any of them) in connection with their use of Your Likeness.
General Conditions/Release: By entering the Contest, participants (a) release the ANA Parties from any and all liability for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by their participation, including the unauthorized or illegal access to personally identifiable or sensitive information or the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize; and (b) acknowledge that said parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the prizes including, but not limited to, their quality or availability, or suitability.
The ANA Parties will not be responsible for typographical, printing, or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or other materials or announcements relating to the Contest or for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human or other error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data or voice transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any on-line service or Website, or to complete a telephone call or facsimile transaction, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost or misdirected mail, or any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in this Contest.
ANA reserves the right to disqualify anyone found to be tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of the Contest as determined by them in their sole discretion. ANA also reserves the right in their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest if tampering, viruses, bugs or other causes beyond their reasonable control corrupt the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Contest. Should the Contest be terminated prior to the stated end date, ANA reserves the right to select winners from among the submissions entered prior to the early termination date.
ANA reserves the right not to award any or all part of the Prizes, or to cancel, terminate, modify, extend or suspend the Contest without liability in the event an insufficient number of eligible entries are received.
Each entrant shall indemnify, defend and hold ANA harmless from any third party claims arising from or related to the entrant’s participation in the Contest. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply, void where prohibited.
Disputes: By entering the Contest participants agree that (a) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the state of Maryland; (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (c) under no circumstances will participants be permitted to obtain for, and each participant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Official Rules, participants’ rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of ANA in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the state of Maryland, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the state of Maryland or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other the state of Maryland.
