Hack Your Hydration

Did you discover on Day 2 that you need to up your hydration game? Chances are, the idea of guzzling liters of plain water doesn’t exactly spark joy. Don’t sweat it. You can meet your daily water quota with some tasty, fun hacks. The key is to make hydration enjoyable, so you look forward to your next sip.

Your Action for Tonight

Set yourself up for hydration success with some delicious, healthy water enhancements. Tempt your taste buds with one or more of these ideas:

  • Fruit, vegetable, or herb-infused water: Add some frozen berries, fresh cucumbers, or sprigs of mint to your water bottle. These simple additions provide fun flavor without refined sugars or chemicals.
  • Tea it up: Toss an herbal tea bag into hot or cold water and enjoy calorie-free refreshment.
  • Juice it: If you love fruit juice, add a splash or two to sparkling water. This option is much healthier than a soda, and far fewer calories than 100% juice.
  • Broth: Consider a broth made from vegetables, chicken, beef, or bone. Broth is rich in vitamins and minerals and can be sipped warm or cold. Find a variety of broth recipes here.

Prep your favorite flavors tonight so you’re ready to go in the morning.

Bonus Action: Swap enhanced water ideas with your colleagues. Share your favorite recipes in a team chat or host a tasting party in the break room. Keeping hydration top of mind will help everyone stay healthy.

Day 4 sneak peek: Take a behavioral shortcut for better hydration.
