After all of your hard work, it’s time to celebrate the effort. Rewarding yourself causes your brain to release dopamine, which makes you feel good — and motivates you to continue.


Focus on healthy rewards that bring you joy, like hobbies, self-care activities, taking in the arts, or quality time with friends.


Your Action for Tonight

Celebrate your win — no matter how large or small — with a healthy reward. Your “win” can include accomplishing a goal like showing up for 30 minutes of exercise every day for a week. It can also include a health-related accomplishment, like a healthier weight, lower blood pressure, or improved sleep.


Consider treats such as:

  • A fun outing with friends or family

  • Relaxing in a warm bubble bath
