Day 7 — When Direct Action Is Appropriate

At times, speaking up in the moment can be effective, especially when safety allows and support is present. 

Clear, calm statements help set boundaries and communicate expectations. 

Your Action for Today
Reflect on a phrase you could use if you chose to speak directly, such as: 

• “That comment isn’t appropriate.” 
• “Let’s keep this respectful.” 
• “I’m uncomfortable with how this is being handled.” 

You don’t need to use it today. Having language ready matters. 

Practice saying your chosen phrase out loud, even privately. Rehearsing language increases confidence and makes it easier to use if the moment arises.
