Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation -  Snap & Steps Challenge: Move, Capture, Inspire challenge, sponsored by Humana

In summarizing Aristotle, American historian and philosopher Will Durant once wrote, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”

This is true for anything we do in life, including wellness. And the best way to create a new healthy habit is to keep it simple.

Welcome to the Snap & Steps Challenge — a journey designed to help you boost your wellness through movement, creativity, and mindful reflection. This 10 day challenge will help you commit to two simple daily actions: a walk and taking a meaningful photo. Each day, you’ll focus on and photograph a different aspect of your wellness.

Every step you take strengthens your body. Each photo you capture helps you slow down, notice your surroundings, and reflect on your experience. Through these simple actions, you can build sustainable, enjoyable habits that feel meaningful. Though this challenge concluded on February 27, 2026, we invite you to try this challenge with a nurse colleague or a loved one. Get started here.

Warning: Please consult with your medical provider before engaging in strenuous cardiovascular activity. We recommend consulting a healthcare professional before starting any new physical activity or making any dietary changes.
