Summary of Contest: The Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation™ (HNHN) Grand Challenge features monthly health challenges to engage nurses, including a ten day Move More Now Challenge sponsored by support from Humana. https://engage.healthynursehealthynation.org/events/item/31/25 which will begin on November 11, 2019.
ANA will randomly select 3 participants who have signed up for the Move More Now Challenge to receive a 100 dollar Amazon gift card.
Contest Period: The Move More Now Challenge Giveaway contest (“Contest”) will take place in conjunction with the Move More Now Challenge which runs from November 11 - November 22, 2019.
Eligibility: This is available to all participants of the Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation Grand Challenge (HNHN) who have joined the Move More Now Chllenge and opted into the Contest at any point during the Contest period. You must be residing in the United States and at least 18 years of age or older (19 in AL/NE) at the time of entry. Directors, officers, employees, contractors, and/or agents of the American Nurses Association and/or any of its subsidiaries are not eligible to participate.
To Enter: Sign up for the “More More Now Challenge” by selecting “Yes” under “Ready to Join?” here or by filling out the form at hnhn.org/challenges. New HNHN participants will first need to register here. Each participant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of ANA, which are final and binding in all matters related to giveaway. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. No exceptions or substitutes will be made.
Prizes: Three gift cards will be awarded. Limit one prize per participant. Odds of winning will depend on the number of entries. Upon entry into the Contest, Winners are required to comply with any and all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. All federal, state and local taxes, and any other costs not specifically provided for in these Official Rules are solely the winner’s responsibility. Prizes are not assignable.
As a condition of receiving the prize, winners may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility and release form to be returned to ANA within ten (10) business days of notification. Failure to timely sign and return this affidavit and release may result in the applicable winner’s disqualification, forfeiture of all interest in prizes, and the drawing of a substitute winner. Prizes not won and claimed by an eligible winner in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of the ANA.
Rights granted to ANA: Except where prohibited, by entering the Contest you irrevocably agree that ANA and their affiliates and their respective assigns, agents and licensees (collectively, the “ANA Parties”) may use your name, likeness, voice, photograph and any statements regarding your participation in Contest (collectively, “Your Likeness”) throughout the world, in perpetuity, in any media, without limitation or compensation to you. By entering the Contest, you permanently waive all intellectual property rights, privacy/publicity rights and other legal or moral rights that might preclude the ANA Parties’ use of Your Likeness, and you agree not to sue or assert any claim against the ANA Parties (or any of them) in connection with their use of Your Likeness.
General Conditions/Release: By entering the Contest, participants (a) release the ANA Parties from any and all liability for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by their participation, including the unauthorized or illegal access to personally identifiable or sensitive information or the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize; and (b) acknowledge that said parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the prizes including, but not limited to, their quality or availability, or suitability.
The ANA Parties will not be responsible for typographical, printing, or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or other materials or announcements relating to the Scavenger Hunt, or for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human or other error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data or voice transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any on-line service or Website, or to complete a telephone call or facsimile transaction, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost or misdirected mail, or any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in this Contest.
The ANA reserve the right to disqualify anyone found to be tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of the Contest as determined by them in their sole discretion. The ANA also reserve the right in their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest if tampering, viruses, bugs or other causes beyond their reasonable control corrupt the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Contest. Should the Contest be terminated prior to the stated end date, the ANA reserve the right to select winners from among the submissions entered prior to the early termination date.
Each entrant shall indemnify, defend and hold ANA harmless from any third party claims arising from or related to the entrant’s participation in the Contest. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply, void where prohibited.
Disputes: By entering the Contest participants agree that (a) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Maryland; (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (c) under no circumstances will participants be permitted to obtain for, and each participant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Official Rules, participants’ rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of ANA in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Maryland, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the District of Columbia or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other Maryland.
