Start A Plank Challenge Tonight!

Today is day 5 of the Work (Out) From Home challenge, powered by Humana!
Planks are a core-strengthening exercise that don’t require much time. Not only does this exercise work the muscles in your abdomen, it also strengthens your:
- Biceps
- Neck
- Shoulder muscles
- Legs
Today, start day one of this plank challenge for beginners. Follow the below steps. To start, hold the plank for 5 seconds, then build up to 15 seconds:
- Get into push-up position on the floor
- Bend your elbows 90 degrees and rest your body weight on your forearms
- Keep your torso and legs straight, with toes on the floor — do not sag or bend
- Keep your head relaxed and looking forward
- Breathe
- Hold the position
Keep it going over the weekend and see if you can get through next week as well!
