I love playing my banjo. My son recently started the guitar and I'm starting to learn that too. I feel playing helps our relationship and helps me relax. I also want to work on setting time aside for a date with my husband once a month.

I am joining a 30 days of Yoga and mindfullness for the month of January.  I will continue the practice (at least 3x/week) after my 30 day challenge is complete.

I commit to be focused and realize that what I put off today will still be there tomorrow, but what if tomorrow never comes?

I am committed to stop smoking by the beginning of 2018. Have already taken steps in that direction. I'm not being a very good role model when I'm educating my fresh bypass patient about the dangers of smoking, when I'm still smoking myself.

I need to be more “in the moment” by: not thinking about work all the time even when home listening to others concerns even when I feel I need to be doing something more industrious  focusing more on family not be in such a hurry to get everything done ASAP

Commitment to exercise at a slower pace & get adequate sleep.

I am committed to writing a legal will and redoing my living will as well.  I also am committed to following through with health recommendations such as drinking plenty of water and rest.

I am committed to sitting down with Rich and writing out a legal will in case either should die. I am also committed to updating our living wills.

I will find time for recreation/entertainment at least once during the week that does not include electronic devices.

I will take time for myself and my spiritual health.  If my spritual side is strong the rest of my life seems to fall into place.  I will take to find a quiet place to read my Bible and meditate.

I commit to taking three breath breaks a day.  Just to breathe.  Just to be. :)

I commit to being the healthiest version of myself so that my children grow up with a healthy role model. It is so important to me that they feel good about themselves mentally and physically.

In the next 2 & 1/2 years if commit to continue toward my goals to meet before retirement.    1.  Consistently walk a mile in less than 15 minutes    2.  Attain and maintain a normal BMI    3.  Improve core strength and flexibility

For many years I have tended to everyone else's needs and wants, as a priority.  Planning to shift myself into being a priority as well, by making better meal choices and exercising more.  Taking it a little at a time...and not being too hard on myself when I fall short of my expectations! Good Luck EVERYONE!!!

i see goodness in most everyone and everything around me, but when I get stressed, I just can't see through the fog. Starting tomorrow, I will write down my gratitudes or goodness observations to read back later when the stress fog rolls in.

I really need to work on my self happiness and making time for myself. Being better at saying no to work and other commitments and making time mandatory for my family and life.

I committ to a better work-life balance.  I frequently put work first and put myself on the "back-burner".  I need to take time everyday to myself to work on holisticlly caring for myself.  I find lately I am overstimulated with work and school and I've been exhausted.  I committ to doing yoga to balance myself and work on my wellness, both physcially and ...

I would like to help develop a program within my facility that makes it easier for patients to recognize staff who they feel has made a difference. I feel it is often the unhappy people who make their voices heard because to them it is worth the effort of contacting someone. Will work out 4 x's a week and weekends hike / walk !

In my current work environment, I often must work through breaks in order to complete tasks required for my patient load.  This then leads to an increase in stress, exhaustion and can eventually lead to nurse-burn out.   I will research ways to improve workload balance and in return hope this will also improve my occupational and emotional health ...

People have said "Life is what you make it" and I'd have to agree. I have never done things to make me happy, things that put me first, things that enrich me mentally, spiritually, or physically.
