Losing weight the healthy way

Published
I'm in the process of decreasing my carbohydrates and calories to lose weight.  My only issue following this reduction is the decreased energy that seems to follow calorie and carb reduction.  I'm interested in how others have dealt with this issue?

I agree with Heidi plus would like to add that water is very important and provides energy as does a 10-20 minute walk in the morning.  Set a goal for the vegetables and fruit everyday.  A good goal is 5-7 servings of vegetables or i just weigh mine and get 16 oz of non-starchy veggies/day.  If you do choose to have fruit make it low sugar choices such as berries or kiwi and have it as part of a meal. Healthy fats at each meal could be avocado, nuts and seeds, extra virgin olive oil or olives.  Keep in touch, i am taking the same approach!
I am making a commitment to count my calories and lose weight!
Make sure you are eating enough! In my experience, it is somewhat normal to feel more fatigued when first changing your diet. The main reason is because your body is going through an adjustment, and in my case, sugar withdrawal.
Make sure you are getting enough protein and healthy fats. These will help keep you full and give you energy.
Let me know how it goes Catherine Kohl‍
