Time to cut back on the sugary snacks!

By outward appearances, I am fit and healthy.  I can pretty much eat what I want to, and have never struggled with weight.  That being said, however, I am very active.  I coach high school track and field as well as cross-country, and at age 54, continue to train right alongside the high schoolers I coach.  My consumption of cookies, pastries, and other junk foods, however, is probably doing me some harm, even if not yet detectable.  For that reason, I have resolved to greatly reduce my indugence in sweet treats, and find suitable, more healthy alternatives as my between meal snacks.  It will be interesting for me to see if this change will effect my sleep and energy habits, and if it will effect my body composition in a measurable way.
