Reading with intention

My husband and I have been reading the Daily Bible everyday for the last 7 or 8 year’s. We read the daily Bible which is the Bible broken up into 365 readings. Each day you read a small part of the Old Testament, New Testament, Proverbs and Psalms. At the end of the year you have read the entire Bible. But last year I seemed to be going through the motions and just reading the words on the page. Not really paying attention. This year my resolution is to read with intention. Really read the words and absorbing them.
