Having an active lifestyle in your 40s
Published
I used to workout 6x a week a few years ago. I even joined marathons like twice or thrice a year. Now that I'm in my 40s, it's really been a challenge being active and having time for workouts (I'm a working mom with 4 kids). So I had to change my routines, and found ways how to squeeze workouts in my schedule. Here's what I did:
1. I made sure to stick with a consistent routine. Work out Mondays to Fridays (30 minutes a day)
2. Make it low impact (Fast walking, peloton)
3. Make sure to hydrate (minimum of 8 glasses of h20 a day)
4. Sleep 8 hours a day atleast
These four steps helped a lot with continuing an active lifestyle. I'm not going to lie, it's been difficult, but WORTH IT!!

Great work Jaymee! It definitely gets trickier to find the time for working out, working, and taking care and spending time with our families. I recently had to switch up my schedule and have been struggling to get my workout back in a spot that works for me. Good luck and great work!
Thank you Christi!
