Finding a better balance to meet personal health and fitness goals

I would like to switch some of my higher-intensity aerobic activity with lower-intensity aerobic activity in order to promote cardiovascular health, reduce residual stress and fatigue, and optimize the conditions my body needs to make desired improvements (e.g. losing fat while gaining strength). I will try to do this by incorporating 30-60min of low-intensity aerobic activity into my workouts, 2-3 times per week, for 4-6 weeks. Then I will evaluate the outcome and either continue, or re-define my goal as needed.
