Never Recap Needles

It’s day 3 of the Don't Get Stuck challenge. Today's tip is a reminder to never recap needles and dispose of them properly every time.
OSHA expressly prohibits this practice because the incidence of injury is so great. Instead, immediately put the needle in a sharps container for disposal.
Leaving needles or sharps out, even in plain view, can injure other health care workers. Always use sharps containers that are puncture resistant, leak-proof, and properly labeled. Don’t let them get over-filled and make sure they are within your immediate reach.
