Most organizations have systems in place to help prevent sharps injuries. Make sure to inquire about your employer’s sharps injury prevention program so you understand the policy. 

Many sharps injuries are preventable. Keep yourself and others safe by staying up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology. The International Safety Center is a great resource.
