Welcome to day 6 of the #WeAreinThisTogether Student Nurse Wellness challenge.

While circumstances have changed, your end goal has not. You may have less in-person, peer-to-peer support, more distance learning, and online simulations replacing in-person trainings — but the NCLEX exam and your future as a nurse will arrive.

To stay motivated, try these tips:
  • Remind yourself why you want to be a nurse
  • Attend your online classes and work on practice NCLEX questions
  • Take your online simulations seriously, as well as pre- and post-simulation briefings
  • Learn from what you are seeing, and ask questions often
  • Stay positive. The world needs nurses — the world needs YOU

Times are challenging, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Stay vigilant. Stay focused.

Share what has been working for you to stay positive here or reply to us on Twitter, in our private Facebook group or Instagram. Remember to tag us with #healthynurse!

The thing that keeps me positive is focusing on the end goal. Not just graduating nursing school but wanting maybe to become an NP someday or a ECMO specialist. Also I have friends and family that support me through it.

I have had quite a bit of instances lately that have kept me motivated. From applying to jobs to getting school work and clinical done, I try to keep busy to stay motivated towards graduation. I make sure I attend class and participate and learn as much as I can now so that I can transition into the nursing world a bit more confident and ready for whatever I face.
