Get Your Stretch On!

You know how when you wake up (before getting out of bed), your body naturally stretches without thinking twice? It feels good to “wake up” your muscles after a full night’s rest.
Stretching is healthy and beneficial for the body (and mind). It can help reduce body aches, keep you balanced, and promote proper alignment in your spine. And experts say you can hold emotional stress in your muscle tissues, so stretching helps release some of that buildup.
Take 10 minutes to do static stretches. This is a type of stretch that takes a muscle as far as it can move, then holds it there. Rather than holding for a set number of seconds, focus on slowly inhaling and exhaling at least 5 times for each stretch.
