When most people think of meditation, they think of stillness. But there is such a thing as meditation that relaxes the mind while moving the body — it’s called qigong (pronounced chee-gong), which literally translates to “energy work.”
In this Asian form of yoga, specialized breathing is coordinated with various movements. The guiding principle is the focus of the mind and breath throughout, but especially as the body moves. Concentrating on the action happening in the moment demands your mental focus and presence.
