Eating more whole, plant-based foods is better for you and the environment. Today’s challenge is to eat less meat and more plants.
Grazing animals and food production distribute greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, which hurt the environment. A huge culprit is cattle. The Environmental Working Group says that “beef consumption produces over twice as many carbon emissions as eating lamb and more than 9 times as much as eating chicken.”
Animal products like meat and dairy have a huge environmental footprint on our croplands. Simply eating less beef is a simple way to make a positive impact on your environment and your health. You can also feel confident knowing that diets rich in plant-based foods:
Today’s goal is to substitute some animal products (meat and dairy) with more plant-based foods. Try any of these options:

- Alternatives to dairy milk, like coconut, almond, or oat milk
