Tonight Meditate For Mental Clarity

Published
If your brain feels a little foggy or unclear, meditation might help. It’s a great way to focus your mind, organize your thoughts, and renew your mental energy — and it only takes 10-15 minutes.

Today, follow these 3 steps for a mindful meditation:
  1. Find a quiet place where no one will disturb you.
  2. Close your eyes and focus on your natural breathing pattern.
  3. Follow a guided meditation for mental clarity, like this one. There are many other guided meditations to choose from on YouTube.

Think of today’s task as an opportunity to not only relax and spend time on yourself, but to declutter and organize your thoughts. Using meditation in this way will improve your mindfulness, which can help with:
  • Chronic disease symptom management
  • Stress reduction
  • Pain management
  • An enhancement in quality of life

As a nurse, using meditation for mental clarity and mindfulness can help you manage pain and stress — and avoid burnout and compassion fatigue. These types of exercises are beneficial not just for yourself, but for your patients, family, friends, and coworkers.
