Are You Tracking Your Steps?
Published
It's day 2 of the Move More! challenge, powered by support from Humana.
Today's tip is to take stock of how active you already are by using your phone’s pedometer or an activity tracker.
You may have heard of the gold standard of aiming for a daily goal of 10,000 steps per day, that's about equal to the CDC’s recommendation of getting in 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity.
Don’t sweat getting to 10,000 steps just yet, start with tracking your daily step count for a few days. Once you know how many steps you get per day try to increase little by little, over time.
How many steps will you get in today? Let us know in our discussion. Find this helpful? Share it with a nurse you by using the social media links on this page. Join us on day 3.
