Timing It Right?
Published
It's day 3 of the Move More! challenge, powered by support from Humana.
Today's tip is to time it right. One way to raise your daily number of steps is to set a timer to go off once every hour. When the timer beeps, get up from your desk and take a short walk.
Refill your water bottle. Use the restroom. Check the mailbox. Or just stretch. Over the course of a day, those small tasks can lead to more steps and calories burned. In fact, almost anything you do that makes you get up and get away from your computer is good for you!
How many steps will you get in today? Let us know in our discussion. Find this helpful? Share it with a nurse you by using the social media links on this page. Join us on day 4.
