Throw in some extra physical activity

It's day 9 of the Renew Challenge. 

Every little bit helps because life-extending benefits of physical activity add up. One study found that short bursts of vigorous exercise are just as good as longer bouts of exercise.

We’re talking something small — how about taking a 15-minute walk outdoors before starting your day? Or taking a quick morning stretch? quick morning stretch? Or doing a set of 10 squats or calf raises during your lunch break? Accumulated activity can positively impact your health!

Here are some other ideas:
  • Try using a standing desk
  • Move every 90 minutes to help shift energy levels
  • Take 5 minutes to go outside during lunch
  • Do some squats, lunges, or wall push-ups during a conference call
