Welcome to day 7 of the Possibilities Unlimited challenge, powered by support from Humana.

Join a local Facebook group centered around a common fitness interest, such as tennis, cycling, or swimming. This is the perfect way to meet new people while fostering your passion for your favorite form of exercise.

Now take it a step further. Ask your new group (or even your longtime friends or coworkers) for recommendations on other activities to try. For example: Maybe you’ve never tried yoga, but your coworker goes to weekly yoga in the park. Ask if you can join so you can experience something new.

If feasible, invite your friends and family to accompany you to your favorite groups and activities, too. You’re cross-training each other to step outside of comfort zones and participate in activities you wouldn’t otherwise try. Plus, it’s great for the mind and body.
