Laughing is like medicine for the soul. Research shows humor and laughter-inducing events can reduce depression and increase joy.
Before you go to sleep tonight, try this exercise to recap some of that good-for-the-soul medicine from your day:

- Write down the 3 funniest parts of your day. It can be something you experienced, heard, or saw. Note how they made you feel. (If you can’t think of anything, write down anything you’ve ever heard or experienced that made you laugh.)
- Write why you think they were funny. Be as specific as you can.
