Walk Into Winter

You’ve reached the last day of the Snaps and Steps Fall Scavenger Hunt, sponsored by Humana.
We hope you had fun getting outside and scavenging for fall items these past 10 days.
We also hope that as autumn comes to an end and we enter winter, you continue to get outside and appreciate nature. Try to take a daily walk whenever possible, even if you need to bundle up to combat the cold. It’s good to get out, turn off technology, and notice more of what’s around you. Take in the sights, smells, sounds, and feel of being active outdoors.
Keep your scavenger hunt going. Look for some of these items on your daily walks moving forward:

- Birds like cardinals, house finches, or sparrows
- Holiday décor like turkeys, wreaths, or candles
- A snowman (real or décor)
- Signs of harvesting like hay bales and dry corn stalks
- Icicles (depending on where you live)
- Smoke billowing from a chimney
