End each day with appreciation

Published
Congratulations, you made it all the way through the Meditate & Appreciate Challenge! We hope these past 9 days have instilled a sense of gratitude into your mindset that will last a lifetime.

As we complete the challenge, let’s focus on ending the day on a grateful note. Starting tonight, add this gratefulness exercise into your routine:
  1. Make a list of 5 things you’re thankful for before you get into bed. This could be a person in your life, an opportunity, your health, or even your warm bed.
  2. Pause to reflect on your list. Let the positivity soothe your body and circulate through your mind as you drift off to sleep.

No matter how your day went, you can turn off the light knowing it came to a positive conclusion. And falling asleep with a sense of gratitude is a great way to promote a more restful, quality night’s rest.

Thank you for joining us on this challenge — we’ve loved every minute. Tell us how you’ll make gratitude and appreciation a long-term part of your life in our update thread here or in our private Facebook group, or on Twitter, or Instagram. Tag us with #healthynurse.
