Choose 1 Area To Tidy Up This Weekend!

Published
If your surroundings are cluttered, the chaos will vie for your attention and limit your ability to concentrate. Having physical clutter around you makes it harder to relax, feel at ease, and enjoy your environment.

As part of this month’s challenge, it’s time to tidy up an area of your physical space. But before a wave of dread washes over you, we promise today’s task is doable. You’re busy and don’t have hours to dedicate to decluttering your entire home. We get it.

Let’s start small — think about 1 area in your home or workplace where you spend a lot of time. Zone in on one cluttered part of that space, like a nightstand or a junk drawer. Then get to work decluttering.

Follow these guidelines as you go through your items:
  • Make 1 pile for donating or selling, 1 pile for throwing away, and 1 pile for keeping
  • If it’s something you haven’t used in the past year, get rid of it
  • When you put away everything you plan to keep, make it neat and tidy

Keep today’s task manageable by decluttering just 1 small (yet important) area. If you’re feeling motivated and productive, move on to another space in your home.
