Try A Winter Activity
Published
Congratulations, you’ve reached the last day of the Get Your Heart Pumping challenge sponsored by Humana!
We’re excited to wrap this up with an adventurous and thrilling task — an outdoor activity that gets you moving.
No matter where you live, winter is the prime time to try an activity that requires physical stamina, works your muscles, and strengthens your heart. And if the activity is challenging or uncomfortable for you, that’s even better — getting out of your comfort zone is good for you!
To mark the end of this 10-day challenge, grab a buddy and try one of these winter activities:
If you live in a place, where winter is still quite warm, think of something active and outdoorsy that you’ve always wanted to do but haven’t had the courage to try. And if you can't do the activity today, set a deadline for when you can.
Thank you for joining us on this journey to improve your heart health. We’ve loved every minute of it, and we’re proud of the work you put in. Keep prioritizing your wellness, and your heart will reap the rewards.
Tell us how you’ll continue to get your heart pumping in our challenge update thread here, in our private Facebook group, or on Twitter, or Instagram and tag us with #healthynurse.
