Use a Checklist - Mindful Meals challenge, powered by Compass One Healthcare - Day 10 Tip
Published
Congratulations, you’ve made it to the end of the Mindful Meals challenge! Today, let’s put it all together so you can take your new mindful eating habits with you for years to come.
Mindful eating practices build upon each other. The key to savoring your food is bringing everything you’ve done in this challenge so far — listening to your body’s cues, slowing down, sitting to eat, single-tasking, thinking about where your food came from, and using your 5 senses — together.
If you’re worried about remembering the tips from the past 9 days and doing them before each meal, we’ve got you covered. Today’s tip includes a handy mindful eating checklist that you can use (and someday memorize) while you eat. It covers:
With time, the principles of mindful eating should become instinct. But in the meantime, this checklist can help keep you focused on what mindful eating is all about: Being aware of and enjoying the food you eat.
Thank you for joining us on this journey to improve your relationship with food. We’ve loved every minute of it, and we’re proud of the work you put in. May your meals bring you newfound nourishment and joy.
Tell us how you’ll continue to practice mindful eating in the challenge update discussion thread here, in our private Facebook group, or on Twitter, or Instagram and tag us with #healthynurse.
