Cloud-Gaze for Serenity - Healthy Nurse, Nurse, Healthy Nation - Snaps and Steps Challenge, sponsored by Humana - Day 8

How often do you take a moment to soak up the vastness of the sky? Slowing down and watching the clouds (cloud-gazing) can guide you into peaceful reflection.

Cloud-gazing isn't just about observing nature's artistry — it's a type of meditation that calms the mind. As you watch the clouds drift across the sky, you can release any worries or stressors weighing you down. Imagine the clouds carrying them away.

Your Action for Today
Let’s meditate while cloud-gazing. Follow these steps:
  1. Find a comfortable spot outside with a clear view of the sky.
  2. Notice the shapes and patterns forming in the clouds. Are they fluffy cumulus clouds, wispy cirrus clouds, or dark, brooding nimbus clouds? Do they look like certain shapes, creatures, or objects?
  3. Take slow, deep breaths. With each inhale, imagine yourself pulling in peace and tranquility. With each exhale, release any tension or negativity, allowing it to fade away.

Spending a few minutes cloud-gazing can positively impact your mental health. We hope you feel refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to face the rest of your day with renewed calm.
