Start a Conversation & See Where it Leads
Have you ever felt yourself pulled to a certain person, wanting to say something to spark a conversation, but weren’t sure how to do it? Today, we’re tackling that head-on. Small interactions can ignite new connections and boost your confidence in social settings.
Your Action for Today
Use these tips as you consider how you start conversations with people you encounter:
- Be approachable: Smile and make eye contact. A friendly demeanor goes a long way in making others feel comfortable.
- Ask open-ended questions: Instead of yes-or-no questions, ask about people’s opinions or experiences. For example, “What do you think of this new coffee shop?” or “Have you tried any good workouts lately?”
- Practice active listening: Show genuine interest in their responses. This helps you connect and makes the conversation more engaging.
