Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation - Building Meaningful Connections challenge - Day 3 Tip - 👥 Three ways to seek out more social connections
Day 3 - Join a Social Group
Do you have friends or family who share your passions? If not, joining a social group is a great way to bond with like-minded people while doing something you enjoy.
Your Action for Today
Find a group or community that aligns with your interests. It could be in-person or online, but any of these ideas count:
- Search for local clubs or hobby groups: Search online, at your local community center, or your library for groups that focus on hobbies like book clubs, hiking, cooking, or crafting.
- Join a sports league: Friendly competition is a great way to form new connections and boost current ones.
- Ask for recommendations: Turn to trusted family and friends for ideas. You never know what groups they’ve experienced or heard about until you ask.
Whether it’s a sports league, a knitting group, a fitness class, or something else, engaging with others who enjoy the same activities can spark long-lasting friendships. Give it a try.
One more way to socialize with others is to join our virtual #healthynurse Coffee Chat, powered by CeraVe tomorrow night and win a FREE giftpack!** Stories of Gratitude: From Patients & Peers will take place Thursday December 5th from 8-9PM ET. We hope to see you there as we share your stories and experiences and celebrate your journey as a nurse. Registration is required here.
Join us on day 4: A sneak peek - Socialize by joining a group, club, or team.
