Who Represents You?
Published
It is day 3 of the Use Your Voice advocacy challenge.
Your task today is to find out who represents you. It is important to know who your elected officials are so that you can learn what they have been up to on your behalf. Use this tool from Common Cause then, visit your representatives’ websites to sign up for their newsletters or follow them on social media to learn how they are representing you.
If you can, take it a step further if you have concerns. Send them an email or even tweet at them to express your views as a constituent. Even consider opportunities to meet your representatives in person: Register for ANA’s Hill Day for an opportunity to meet your federal representative in Washington! Can't make the trip? Consider attending next year or meet your local representatives instead. For more about Hill Day, watch this video (more to come on participating in virtual Hill Day).
Let us know how you plan to get in touch with your representative in our discussion or on Facebook.
