Make Space in Your Routine 4584

Make Space in Your Routine

Published
Yesterday, you figured out how to adjust your current routine to level up your healthy habit. For example, if you want to get more sleep, you’ll probably have to go to bed earlier, which means you must also finish your other tasks earlier. This requires a slight shift in your routine.

You only have so much time and energy in one day. To stretch a healthy habit, make sure you’ve given yourself enough time and energy to do it right.

Since you know what you need to do to level up your well-being, today is the day to act:
  1. Adjust your schedule to spend time on your goal: For example, spend less time browsing social media in the evenings to get enough shut-eye.
  2. Set expectations: Let your loved ones know you’re going to focus more time and energy on a particular health goal.
  3. Don’t sacrifice other healthy behaviors for this one: For example, don’t ditch brushing your teeth to shorten your bedtime routine, just so you can turn off the lights earlier.
Depending on your goal, finding space in your schedule might be easy, challenging, or somewhere in between. Give it a shot for at least the duration of this challenge. Test out a small change in your routine to see how it goes.
