Your Action for Today
Incorporate a few simple strength exercises into your routine today. Start with movements you can do in a chair or while standing in one place. Any of these are strong options:
- Chair squats: Stand up from your chair and sit back down without using your hands. Repeat 10-15 times to engage your lower body muscles.
- Seated leg lifts: While sitting down, extend one leg out straight and hold it for a few seconds, then lower it slowly. Switch legs and repeat 10 times per leg.
- Wall push-ups: Stand a few feet away from a wall, place your hands on it, and lean in as if doing a push-up. Push back to your starting position. Repeat 10-15 times to work your arms and chest.
