I want to become more physically active. My job is relatively sedentary and I find it difficult to exercise regularly.

My goal is to be more physically active on a daily basis.  I will need to start with small increments and grow from there.  By the end of March, I plan to have worked up to 45 minutes of cardio activity at least 4 days per week (my days off), and a minimum of a brisk 20 minute walk and stretching on work days.

I am committing to getting 12,000 steps a day... Even when I'm not working!

I will begin by committing to working out once per week, no matter how busy I am. I will remember that home and the park, or other outside locations, are good alternatives if I get bored of the gym routine. I find when I take time to work out, my eating habits improve and I make more time to take care of myself in other ways as well.

Physical activity to a moderate degree is the place I need and want to be. With moderation  in mind it is something anyone can maintain on a regular basis if there is the desire and commitment to feel better and live a healthier life. Even if you hate exercise for the safe of exercise, if you can get your head around the fact that by moving more you burn calories ...

I am impressed with the need to not only talk about physical health through activity but to be able to talk about the daily, intentional efforts to maintain a healthy lifestyle while working full-time and having a family. How can I, as a nurse, talk about how important a healthy lifestyle is if I cannot take my own advice? It is time to take my place along ...

I admit working from home ties me to my desk more than I like. I am committed to increasing my time away from my desk - short intervals that will add up to big improvements in my mental health, physical health, and overall well-being

I will seek out an opportunity to incorporate an activity I like such as water aerobics into my weekly routine.

I commit to getting more exercise, even if just for a walk.  I have a tendency to work, study, and do other necessary things then take care of myself, which then leads further to my depression.

You can do it!

@katpash You've got this! It's hard at first finding a good spot scheduling -wise but give it some time. I truly disliked waking up and working out right away at first, but once I got into the rhythm of it, it really made my days a lot better.

Great work Jaymee! It definitely gets trickier to find the time for working out, working, and taking care and spending time with our families. I recently had to switch up my schedule and have been struggling to get my workout back in a spot that works for me. Good luck and great work!
